Dunér discovered the galaxy NGC 2273 in Lynx. He found it with the newly erected 9.6" Merz refractor at Lund Observatory. It was observed by Schultz, in Sept. 1872. After his work at Lund, Dunér became director of Upsala Observatory in 1888..
